Dear United Family,

As Sept. 11 family members, we bear the historic responsibility to protect the legacy of our loved ones and support each other. As we battle the political and economic forces that threaten the integrity of the World Trade Center memorial, we have stood united to ensure our loved ones are remembered with honor. Despite our repeated efforts, Governor Pataki and LMDC dismiss our concerns by stating we do not represent the majority of families - here's how you can help us show just how united we are.

In October 2004, after nine months of deliberation, the majority of family groups submitted an alternative proposal to random listing of our loved ones on the future memorial to Governor Pataki and the LMDC, which to date has gone unanswered.

While current memorial designs reflect our efforts to preserve the tangible remains of the twin tower footprints on bedrock, the quality and quantity of access to and preservation of BOTH footprints is disturbingly vague. Please sign the Coalition's petition to show your support of our efforts to ensure additional modifications to the memorial.

MAKE A CONTRIBUTION TO OUR CAUSE

As of the date of this letter, WTCUFG and Coalition board members have raised and personally contributed over $30,000 to meet our goals. We currently owe an additional $30,000 to our consultants and would appreciate your help. All contributions are tax deductible and will be used to support our ongoing efforts.
